Submission Guidelines & Author Protocol

JSSEIN publishes original research on Southeast Iran and neighboring countries: political thought, political economy, political sociology, comparative politics, international relations, public policy, public administration, regional studies, geopolitics and geostrategy, security and strategic studies, public law, constitutional law, and development issues of the region.

Must be the authors' own original, previously unpublished research, not simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Authors are responsible for intellectual property and scientific originality.

Mark the title with an asterisk (*) and note the source in a footnote on the first page of the author information file.

Require supervisor/advisor approval before entering review.

The corresponding author is responsible for accuracy, integrity, originality, ethical compliance, and all content.

Persian and English both accepted.

Original research, analytical review, systematic review only. No translations, non-analytical reviews, news reports, or unstructured notes.

5,000–6,000 words including tables, figures, references, appendices.

Structured abstract, 150–250 words (topic, research problem/question, methodology, findings, conclusion). 4–6 keywords.

Structure, in order: Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction (no subheadings — problem statement, significance, research question(s), hypotheses, objectives, methodology, originality); Literature Review (at least 4 sources, critically reviewed); Theoretical Framework (if applicable); Main Text (findings & analysis); Conclusion; References.

Microsoft Word. Manuscript file must not contain author names/affiliations. Author info in a separate file. Tables/figures/images/maps high quality, numbered, captioned, sourced.

Author information file must include: full names; academic rank; institutional affiliation; corresponding author identification; academic email; corresponding author's phone; ORCID for all authors. Order/corresponding-author designation locked after final submission.

ORCID mandatory for all authors, in both the system and the author info file.

Latest APA citation style, in-text and reference list. Example: (Taheri, 1404, p. 23).

Signed ethics statement required with submission; authors commit to research ethics, plagiarism avoidance, conflict-of-interest disclosure, authorship/copyright respect.

Editorial screening, then double-blind review by at least two expert reviewers. Editorial Board makes the final call.

None, at any stage. JSSEIN is an open-access journal with zero submission or publication processing charges.

One manuscript under review per author at a time; max one published article per author per calendar year.

Returned without entering review if structure/formatting/citation/length/scope requirements aren't met.

Submission = acceptance of all journal policies. Journal reserves the right to make formatting/editorial/layout revisions without altering scientific content.
